Book Discussion Group Forming
Using the “Book Club in a Bag” format provided by Mid-Hudson Library System, the Woodstock Senior Recreation Committee and the Woodstock Public Library have joined forces to form a Book Discussion Group.
The first discussion will be Friday, May 9th from 3:00pm-5:00pm at the Community Center. This book discussion group is open to everyone.
The group will be discussing the national nonfiction bestseller, The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic, and Madness at the Fair that Changed America by Erik Larson. The New York Times said, “A dynamic, enveloping book…Relentlessly fuses history and entertainment to give this nonfiction book the dramatic effect of a novel…It doesn’t hurt that this truth is stranger than fiction.”
Please contact Amy Raff at the Library at 679-2213 or amy@woodstock.org to sign-up and arrange to pick-up a copy of the book.
